Privacy policy: light-labs
Last updated October 18, 2026
What light-labs is
light-labs is a personal assistant that PJ Kelly (PJK Systems LLC) runs for his own Google accounts. It is not offered to the public. The only person who signs in to it is its owner.
What it accesses
With the owner's permission, through Google's OAuth consent screen, light-labs reads Gmail messages and labels in the owner's mailbox. Depending on the permissions granted, it can also create drafts and organize mail (archive, label). It does not send email.
How the data is used
- Mail is read and processed on the owner's own computer by locally run software and models, to sort messages, summarize what needs a reply, write drafts for the owner to review, and organize the inbox under rules the owner approves.
- Short summaries (sender, subject, a one-line summary) are sent to the owner's own Telegram chat so he can act from his phone.
- OAuth tokens are stored in the owner's macOS Keychain.
What it never does
- It does not sell, rent or share Google user data.
- It does not use Google user data for advertising, or to train general-purpose AI models.
- It does not let anyone other than the owner read the data.
light-labs' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and removal
Working data (which messages were seen, drafts awaiting review) is kept on the owner's computer only as long as the feature needs it. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which stops all further access.
